Self Care Workshop Series

Sacred Space

Sunday, January 17, 2021 – Sunday, March 7, 2021

* Please note that the locations are TBD due to COVID 19 restrictions. Stay tuned for more information in December/ January).

Calling all women!

Do you seek greater inner peace, more joy and a heightened sense of aliveness?

Join me once a month, from January – March 2021, for a 3x mindfulness, yoga + meditation workshop series. These workshops can be done as a series or individually – whatever serves your needs and availability the best.

Each workshop seeks to deepen our relationship with ourselves, by cultivating awareness around how we speak to, act towards and feel about our mind, body and spirit. They aim to help focus our attention to our subtle body (energetic and subconscious), while strengthening our physical body and the mind. Each workshop will ask us to slow down, breathe deeper and to take in various changes life presents us with, with kindness and curiosity – before impulsively reacting from a place of fear and defense.

The workshops seek to create a Sacred Space where women can just be. A space to be vulnerable. A space where we can be seen, be heard and be supported. A space where we can feel and release emotions and old/false narratives stored in our bodies. A space where we can play and unwind. A space where we can explore what our bodies can do and celebrate who we are today, while honouring our sacred feminine energy. A space where we can connect with ourselves and each other, while giving thanks to our powerful, unique and ever-present Spirit.

As human beings we are in a constant state of becoming. The more we know about ourselves, the more we live in alignment with our passion, embody joy and experience deep freedom.

Self Care Workshop 1

We Are What We Think

Sunday, January 17, 2021
4:00 PM – 6:30 PM EST

* Please check back for location information in December. I’m hoping this workshop can be in person, but it may have to be on Zoom – depends on COVID 19 restrictions.

How frequently do you pause and witness your thoughts? How often do you notice negative comments and out-dated stories fed by fear or lack of self-worth? Do you reframe or challenge your thoughts so there is a positive outcome, or so you feel better about yourself?

Awareness is the first step to any kind of change – especially positive and lasting change.

Our thoughts and choice of words literally shape our reality and influence our physical, emotional and mental wellbeing. If we think toxic thoughts about ourselves and others – we can literally feel it and see it in our body and we can experience it in our actions – but only when we slow down and/or tune in.

This workshop seeks to cultivate awareness in how we speak to and treat ourselves. It seeks to create discussion around the war of annihilation that we commonly wage against ourselves – judging, criticizing and comparing every action – before we engage in loving, kind and supportive behaviour towards ourselves. It seeks to help us connect more deeply with the root of our negative thoughts and offers tools to help reframe them in a more positive and beneficial way.

Self Care Workshop 2

You Are Beautiful

Sunday, February 14, 2021

4:00 PM – 6:30 PM

* Please check back for location information in January. This might be in person or online (depends on COVID 19 restrictions).

For women, beauty, body image and success seem to go hand-in-hand. There is great pressure placed on how we look, how we act, what we do and what we have. There is less interest in who we are, or in the act of simply being.

Do you get stuck in the trap of not feeling: pretty enough, sexy enough, accomplished enough, wealthy enough, fit enough or smart enough?

You’re not alone.

This workshop seeks to debunk the definitions of beauty and success. It seeks to shift these definitions from being externally focused, to being internally owned. It seeks to cultivate authentic discussion around self-worth and self-acceptance in order to help us live a wholehearted and joyful life.

We are all beautiful, whole and complete exactly as we are right now. Regardless of how we’ve been raised and conditioned, no one can take these truths away from us. By sharing our stories – troubles and triumphs – we’re able to connect with each other and ourselves on a deeper level. We learn we are not alone in how we might feel, we tap into our innate power and we inspire one another to find our voice and we take up the space we all deserve.

There is something deeply powerful in women coming together to create community.

Self Care Workshop 3

If not now, when? Stand In Your Power

Sunday, March 7, 2021

4:00 PM – 6:30 PM

* Please check back for location information in January. This might be in person or online (depends on COVID 19 restrictions).

What does power mean to you? Do you associate this meaning with yourself? How often do you say no, communicate boundaries or place your needs first?

As women it is common for us to deflect praise, to put others first and to lose sight of our boundaries (under pressure to support or please others). So often we give our power away to other people without even knowing it. While it is important to help one another, it can often impact us negatively on the mental, emotional and physical level. Does burnout sound familiar?

There is no better time than now to focus on our needs, our goals and our passions. This does not mean ignoring everyone around us or thinking we are better than our peers. This means giving ourselves the attention, energy and inherent love we all deserve – not from external factors but from ourselves – for our overall wellbeing.

This workshops seeks to explore: what power means to each of us, to challenge the current position it may have in our lives and to experience how stating our power and establishing boundaries feels in our bodies – on the mental, emotional and physical level. Through discussion, story-sharing and embodied exercises, we learn tools to help us release limiting beliefs, we practice using our voice to establish healthy boundaries and we tap into our innate and sacred power.

Each time we stand in our power and state our boundaries, we take up space and use our voice. Living where we do, we are so fortunate to have this freedom. Through such actions, we inspire other women to do the same. Let’s continue to rise up together.
