Here’s the thing

many people struggle with grief because…

  • They deny / ignore our experience – imagining the discomfort will just go away

  • They get sucked into their emotions – overrun by them – and prolong the period of grief + suffering

  • ​They get stuck in a victim mindset and use their experience as an excuse for unhealthy choices, actions, apathy

 

  • They fear feeling their emotions, so they use work, food, alcohol, tv, sex, etc. as distractions to avoid processing them

  • They believe showing emotions is a weakness so they suppress them + don’t talk about their experience

  • ​They build walls around their heart to stay “safe”… which leads to greater feelings of isolation

 

  • They forget tap into gratitude and miss the abundance still present in each moment

  • They’re unaware of the quality of their thoughts + the power of CHOICE they have in each moment

  • They don’t realize the positive impact they can make in the world as a result of the change in their life

 

And in some cases, people forget about their inherent power, strength, worthiness + goodness. They lose connection with who they are and what they want for their life… and I get it. Feeling anxious, overwhelmed, exhausted, sad + broken, sucks.

Meet Your Coach

Hi, I’m Edie!

I’m the founder of Edie Gudaitis Wellness.

Prior to Wellness, I worked in the Corporate world. I juggled shifting deadlines and changing expectations, worked out all the time, ate super healthy, volunteered for a non-profit and socialized every weekend. I was always pushing myself to do that 10% more – stuck in the grip of a perfectionist mindset. Within 2 years, I was burnt out. I quickly learned two lessons: if your career is not in alignment with your heart, nothing you “do” will feel fulfilling or adequate AND if you don’t listen to the signals of your body to slow down and rest… you won’t be able to sustain your career and your health + wellbeing will suffer.

So to heal my body + mind and better undertand the desires of my heart, I quit my job, moved out of the city and set off to learn everything I could about Mindfulness, Nervous System Regulation, Yoga, Life Coaching, Breathwork and Meditation.

At the same time as my career change, my mom was diagnosed with a rare + fatal disease. She died 8 weeks later. It was fast. It was intense. It was life altering. Grief was a wild ride for me… For the first 9 months I was in shock. I felt empty, raw, fragile, alone and pretty anxious about my future. To help regulate my nervous system, I worked with a therapist, practiced Yoga, Meditation + Breathwork – daily, spent time in nature + journaled by the water.

As a result of my simple + consistent Mindfulness and movement routine, and powerful mindset tools – I became more resilient, confident and at ease in myself – with a deep sense of wholeness – and – a new mindset rooted in equanimity, gratitude and self-trust. People started to acknowledge my transformation and ask advice to navigate their own grief…

So I pulled together all the tools + practices that supported my transformation and helped me feel PEACE and JOY once again… and created a program that teaches YOU how to navigate grief, while feeling EMPOWERED + AT EASE in your life 🙂

How Journey Through Grief  Works

Step  1

Gain Clarity in Your Mind

Here I teach you how to create clarity, space and focus in your mind through the power of your breath.
We start by cultivating awareness in your mind. Then we explore the power of choice you have in your thoughts / actions and how they influence your current experience and your future. We end with creating spaciousness in your mind through acceptance + forgiveness tools and meditations.

Step  2

Reconnect with the Wisdom of Your Body

Re-establishing connection + trust with your body is essential for navigating grief while feeling grounded + at ease. We start by exploring somatic processing techniques to release and integrate emotions in the moment. We deepen connection + love with the body through sensory meditations + loving kindness exercises. Then we re-establish trust within the body using gentle + accessible spa yoga practices. 

Step  3

Tap into the Power of Your Soul

We start by tapping deeper into the heart via heart coherence meditation. Then, using gentle yet cleansing breathwork, you learn ways to release tension in the mind + body (and around the heart) to access the intelligence of your soul. We end with simple, powerful questions, to help you discover the future you deeply desire and the impact you are HERE to make (while honouring your loss)… and we map out the next steps to help you grow 🙂

When are my calls with Edie?

Your Zoom call (or in person session if you’re local) is on Mondays or Fridays (during the day) with Edie. They are up to 90 minutes each.

I’m new to Yoga, Breathwork + Mindfulness. May I still join?

Of course! This program is designed to meet you where you are. All content is simple + accessible. And I offer support on the calls + on Voxer, so you’re not left to figure it out by yourself.
